What People Are Saying

Scaling intimacy is taking instructional design to the next level. I’ve been a training professional for over 20 years and have never come across a course that has taught me to design experiential design workshops until now. I’m leaving this course feeling supported by the tools, resources, and especially the community of other experience designers in this class.

Gabe Montoya, Sr. Talent Development Specialist, Silicon Valley Bank

During this workshop I sketched out what had seemed to be an almost overwhelmingly enormous project — and now it seems almost ridiculously simple and so much fun. Tremendous value, loads of inspiration, and a framework that I’ll use time and time again. Thank you for simplifying experience design into such a clear model! I loved meeting so many new colleagues, too.

Anne Rose, CEO, Anne Rose Hart Inc

I had been looking forward to attending this workshop in person. When the course shifted to virtual I wasn’t certain that I would get as much out of it. Boy was I wrong! This was the most engaging virtual experience I’ve ever had. I so enjoyed connecting with like minded individuals, learning new skills and techniques and also co-creating with other participants. I learned so much from giving and receiving feedback from my fellow attendees. This is a must attend workshop if you are designing a virtual event.

Founder’s Message from Jenny

Scaling Intimacy is the culmination of my life’s work.

My purpose in life is to create connection and community, which is part of my own healing journey having grown up as a lonely only child in New York City. For me, training experience designers to create cultures of belonging is deeply meaningful in a world that needs connection now more than ever. My approach has been informed by a BFA in musical theatre, over 20 years of teaching tens of thousands of people in interactive programs, and having co-founded a global movement with millions of practitioners. I invite you to join our community and step out onto the leading edge of interactive experiences.

Why connection – not content – is king

We’ve tricked ourselves into thinking that we need more information for an effective event when really it’s the connection and engagement that ensures the learning stays with us. If participants get overwhelmed or bored, you’ve lost them, and no amount of transformation or learning is going to occur.

Our go-to event models aren’t cutting it anymore

We overload people with content, talking heads and crunched schedules. When this happens, we leave people feeling bored, overwhelmed and disengaged. The future of learning experiences requires something different.
