Today, the larger events and experiences industry is over 80% female and white identifying. We acknowledge that centuries of systemic racism have produced generational disparities for Black and Brown folks and have made it more challenging for all people of color to access opportunities and whole industries in our society.
Through the Experience Design Diversity Initiative we are looking to make our trainings more accessible, inviting and inclusive of participants from a variety of ethnic and racial backgrounds. One of the ways of doing this is that we have allocated funds to provide financial assistance for participants of color who would like to be more involved in the field of experience design through our upcoming Scaling Intimacy programs and for whom finances are a barrier to access..
Scaling Intimacy is a multi-day experience design training that gives you strategic tools and frameworks to plan your virtual and in-person events, with a focus on connection & engagement. We believe that inviting more diverse voices will uplift everyone involved, and further the field of experience design as a whole.

The EDDI program has a limited number of spots available for BIPOC in each session at 50% off the available registration rate. We also work with individuals on a 1:1 basis if additional financial assistance is needed.
